From September 29 to October 5, the new edition of Blue Week will offer a range of diverse and varied activities to seniors in the region. In this year of the Olympic Games, the theme of sport will be highlighted to delight the beautiful generation.
Created in 1951 to raise funds to support disadvantaged seniors, Blue Week has had many names over the years, becoming in the 90s a time dedicated to retirees and seniors. This week aims to raise public awareness of their contribution to society and their difficulties, with the slogan "365 days to act, 7 days to say it". As part of the national week for retirees and seniors, the Collectivité de Saint-Martin and its Solidarity, Health and Families Delegation have developed a program of activities for seniors in the area during Blue Week 2024, with the slogan "Moving together to keep the flame alive". The week will begin with an intergenerational, cultural and craft event on Sunday, September 29 at QO. The opening ceremony of Blue Week will take place on Monday, September 30 in the morning, at the Bethany Home EHPAD. During the week, outings, relaxation days, sports activities and information will be organized and a "Bal Gran Moun" will close the program, enough to delight the third and fourth generations of Saint-Martin. _Vx
