To cope with the first emergency expenses following Irma, the Saint-Martin public finance center made 5738 Cohesia cards available to beneficiaries.
These individual cards could be endowed with 300 euros per adult and 100 euros per child within the limit of 900 euros per household. The Cohésia card was intended for the purchase of basic necessities (food, health, everyday life, etc.), and could only be used on French territory. The prefecture informs that since January 15, 2018, it is no longer possible to withdraw a prepaid card at the Center des Finances Publiques de Saint-Martin. The deadline for using the credits is January 31, 2018.
For information, it is necessary to wait for a period ranging from 3 to 5 days after receipt of the activation code before being able to access the available amount.
The Cohesia card system will no longer be operational after January 31, 2018.
