FEDOM wishes to support the Collectivity on certain priority issues

On June 3, 2019, the Vice-President of the Community in charge of economic development, Mr. Yawo NYUIADZI, received a delegation from the Federation of Overseas Enterprises (FEDOM) composed in particular of its President (and former deputy of the first district of the Loire) Mr. Jean-Pierre PHILIBERT and his general delegate Mrs. Samia BADAT-KARAM.

If the FEDOM works in the service of its members (mainly professional associations), it traditionally maintains close links with overseas executives and ensures that it acts as a constructive relay before the various national or regional administrations when it is called upon.

On the occasion of this meeting, the Vice-President NYUIADZI was exposed to the major issues on which the FEDOM is working. This is the case with tax issues with, for example, the search for an alignment of the tax exemption rates of Saint-Martin to those of Guyana and Mayotte more advantageous for investors.

The vice-president NYUIADZI agreed with President Philibert for a closer and more constructive collaboration with the FEDOM which wishes to be able to better support the Collectivity. He also wanted to inform him of the decision of President Daniel GIBBS to initiate a major project which aims to adapt or soften European rules and standards in Saint Martin, recalling all the support he hopes for from the FEDOM in this file.
