Guadeloupe Championshipand North Islands

This weekend took place in Orient Bay, two events counting for the Guadeloupe and Northern Islands Kitesurfing Championship.

Last Saturday, the weather conditions made it possible to decide between the 21 competitors in 2 rounds of Speedcrossing and 10 of them offered, on Sunday, an exceptional freestyle show.

The course went well between the island of Pinel and Orient Beach where 5 buoys traced the race and allowed the riders to set up their best competition technique. In the general speedcrossing classification, came first, Lucas VELTEN, followed by Jérémie DIEUDONNE, Théo DEMANEZ, and Anne VEYRE DE SORAS as first woman.

Thanks to the gradual rise in the wind on Sunday afternoon, the freestyle heats were launched and offered a high level show. For some, it was an opportunity to experience their first competition with Vadim MALISEV from Saint-Martin, 10 years old and Gwendall SURGET from Martinique, 14 years old, classified Best Hope. In the general classification of the stage, Lucas VELTEN, 18 years old, came first. Théo DEMANEZ, young hope from Saint-Martin, came in second position followed by the only female competitor in this event, Anne VEYRE DE SORAS. The best quiches, Justin BREUIL (adult) and Vadim MALISEV (junior) were also awarded a best trick for Théo DEMANEZ who was able to achieve a particularly complex figure. A friendly evening took place at Club Wind Adventures during which all the competitors were rewarded for their good performance. _AF
