PW, president of two associations and accused of breach of trust, appeared last Thursday before the local court of Saint-Martin. In 2019, the services of the prefecture and the community control a PW association on the use of the subsidies received, i.e. 20 euros from the State and 000 euros from the COM. It appears that PW made transfers between the two associations he chairs. No accounting element is available, no precise proof of expenditure and especially of the use of public funds is presented.
The court reminds PW that making transfers from one association to another is not authorized, that he must be able to justify each expense precisely and that the subsidies allocated were to be used to finance projects and not not to the operation of the association.
The lack of rigor in the functioning of the association is also denounced by the deputy prosecutor who requests a fine of 5 euros accompanied by a suspended sentence.
The defense lawyer indicates that no evidence has been reported indicating that public funds were misappropriated, that the sums of money cited in the procedure corresponded to public funds and not to the association's own funds. .
