Justice: 1 month suspended prison sentence for forcing a roadblock

The criminal court of Saint-Martin sentenced JP yesterday. F to one month suspended prison sentence, two months license suspension and a tort fine of 500 euros for having forced a gendarmerie checkpoint on September 21, 2017.

He had appeared on March 1 before this same court for refusing to comply and violence against a gendarme. The judgment was put under advisement on April 12. The court received the request for the constitution of the civil party of the gendarme in question, found JP.F guilty of the damage suffered and ordered him to pay him 1000 euros in moral damages and 750 euros in terms of article 475- 1 of the penal code relating to the reimbursement of legal costs.
