BOTANICAL GARDEN - MUSEUM / Amuseum Naturalis: walk between history, poetry and coloring

0

It has now been 6 months since the free museum of nature and heritage of Saint-Martin reopened its doors.

A true well of knowledge and history created by the Seafood Association and located in the historic "The Old House" in the Quartier d'Orléans (on the hill above Galion beach), the now famous museum very quickly adapted to this new formula of external visit thought out in respect of barrier gestures and with arranged schedules, from Tuesday to Saturday from 9 to 12 am.

In addition to the open-air exhibition hall, magnificent views of the neighboring islands, gardens full of trees and typical plants, some of which are available for free on site, not to mention the various winks to traditional medicine with, for example, the “bush tea” and the panels of Saint-Martin poetry, many books are available for reading, for purchase or via the association's website.

But especially for the little ones (or the biggest followers of art therapy), there is at their disposal a free bird coloring book entitled "Endemic Birds of the West Indie", illustrated by Christine Elder with a text by Mark Yokoyama, which presents 50 birds including 5 which are only found in Saint-Martin. To your pencils!
