Interreg Caribbean IV: presentation of the achievements of Saint Martin

The significant projects of the territory - co-financed by Europe within the framework of the Interreg Caribbean IV program for the period 2007-2013 - were unveiled yesterday at the Hôtel de la Collectivité.

This device represents “a hope” and “a tremendous opportunity for Saint-Martin”, declared the president of the Community Aline Hanson by greeting her guests among which Marie-Luce Penchard, vice-president of the Guadeloupe region, and William Marlin, Prime Minister of Sint Maarten. “We are celebrating this month the“ Pretty Month of Europe ”, and in this particular context, the cooperation between the territories of the Caribbean takes on its full significance.” The opening of the tide station at the port of Galisbay; The creation of the Health Observatory and the studies relating to the development of the Belle Plaine basin are the three achievements that were revealed in detail during this meeting. This program is “precious” because “it helps us to develop inter-regional partnerships and to provide our territories with promising developments for our economy”, added the president.
