Following the photo-caption published in the Fax Info on Thursday, November 18: “Since the start of the school year in September, days, weeks,… months have passed and the same observation is required! Access to the Sports Hall and the Jean-Louis Vanterpool stadium in Marigot is still prohibited for children and adults to indulge in their favorite sporting activity. Until when ? », The Collectivity wished to provide information relating to the work currently carried out on the Jean-Louis Vanterpool stadium:

• Installation of a rigid fence to replace the wall of the refectory of the former Nina Duverly school. This wall was destroyed during the demolition of the school (building more in line with the standards and having asbestos) it was therefore necessary to enclose this space to secure the enclosure of the stadium.

• Repair of the rue de Hollande access gate (welding)

• Repair of the gates inside the stadium (welding)

This work is currently underway and should be completed by the end of the week.

Except for capricious weather, the community plans to reopen the stadium to associations and schools from the beginning of December. _AF
