The main role of the Operational and Information Center of the Guadeloupe Gendarmerie is to receive, 24 hours a day, telephone calls to the emergency number 24, call forwarding to the departmental gendarmerie units and operational cooperation of interventions.
Among the many calls received, we offer you an anthology of unusual calls received on a daily basis:
- A person wishes to file a complaint because he cannot sleep. Reason: it's too hot!
- A person asks the gendarmes because there is a piece of metal near his gas tank and she wants to know if she can start her car anyway.
- A person wants the intervention of the gendarmes because the latter is allergic to cat hair; a cat has entered her home.
- A user calls to ask what is his telephone number .., he does not remember it!
The gendarmerie reminds that calls to number 17 are reserved for emergencies, and if it is a medical problem, it is to 15 that should be addressed.
