For the second year in a row in Guadeloupe, picnics on the beaches or on wasteland will not be possible due to Covid-19. The curfew is advanced to 20 p.m. instead of 22 p.m.

Epidemic circulation in Guadeloupe remains at a high level. The tension on hospitals and on emergency services linked to the health crisis also remains very strong.

During the Easter weekend, the increase in travel and gatherings presents a strong risk of the epidemic spreading. This period is also conducive to road accidents which can have an impact on the hospital service.

After consultation, temporary administrative measures will apply from Friday 2 to Monday 5 April inclusive. They are in addition to those already in force.

The curfew is advanced to 20 p.m. instead of 22 p.m., until 5 a.m.

The ban on access to beaches, rivers, huts and bodies of water is set from 18 p.m. instead of 19 p.m. currently. Any picnic, consumption of meals is prohibited at any time of the day.

The police will strengthen controls to ensure particularly the respect of the curfew on the roads and on the beaches, and particularly at lunchtime and in the evening. _AF
