The flu epidemic has taken hold in Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy. Consultations with general practitioners are on the rise, according to the latest epidemiological bulletin from the Regional Health Agency (ARS) Guadeloupe / North Islands. The epidemic continues at “high levels” for the last two weeks (2017-02 and 2017-03) with 195 and 150 cases estimated respectively, according to health authorities. Last year, it took place overall in the first semester. Regarding emergency room visits, no worries: no flu cases have been recorded. Finally, in Saint-Barthélemy, the epidemic intensified over the same period with respectively 55 and 45 weekly cases, and two visits to the emergency room. _EH
