Strike at Soualiga college: the movement continues today

0

All the staff of the Soualiga college were on strike this Thursday, February 2 to protest against the potential abolition of teaching positions relating to the closing of classes following the forecasts of reduction in student enrollment. The UPESM Section Soualiga supported the movement. A delegation made up of both parents of pupils and teachers of the college's administrative council was received at 9:30 am by the head of the education service Michel Sanz. They learned in particular that to compensate for the abolition of two classes, the rector of Guadeloupe granted Wednesday, February 1, 29 additional hours. Thursday February 2 at 16 p.m., representatives of the Soualiga college's board of directors announced the renewal of their movement on Friday, February 3, deeming Mr. Sanz's response "unsatisfactory".
