Thanks to the Rotary Club, Trait d'Union improves emergency accommodation for battered women

Last Friday, Trait d'Union opened the door of his relay apartment to a new victim of domestic violence. This woman will be hosted by the association in order to be protected from her companion. Trait d'Union has had this emergency accommodation since June thanks to a subsidy granted by the prefecture.

“We have just received confirmation of the granting of new funds from the prefecture, which will allow us to rent a second apartment with three bedrooms. In total, we will thus have five housing units ”, announces Olivier Fatou, the director of the association. As with the first, the Fondation de France will also allocate a subsidy for the purchase of furniture and other necessary supplies.

Sensitive to the cause, the rotary club also wanted to help the association. He organized a book fair and collected 400 euros which he gave to Trait d'Union. "We will thus be able to buy a television and install it in our relay apartment and thus improve the reception conditions for women victims of domestic violence," says Olivier Fatou.
