Brigadier General Jean-Marc Descoux, Commander of the Gendarmerie of Guadeloupe and the Northern Islands, recently visited Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin.
This visit was an opportunity to meet the administrative, judicial and elected local authorities of the two islands in order to draw up a particularly encouraging assessment of the action carried out by the Gendarmerie units in 2018 on the responsibility of the company commanded by the Lieutenant-Colonel Manzoni.
This stay will also have been marked by two solemn military ceremonies during which members of the Gendarmerie and a reservist hired after the passage of cyclone “Irma” were decorated or congratulated.
