The individual shot and injured on Sunday March 26 at 1 a.m. on Kim Sha Beach succumbed to his injuries, we learned last Tuesday from a police source.
It was during a pre-carnival event organized in a busy bar on Kim Sha Beach that the tragedy took place.
The victim, hit in the upper body, received first aid on the spot by a nurse present during the evening. Rescue teams then took over before transporting the man to hospital with a life-threatening condition. Despite the numerous treatments provided for forty-eight hours by the doctors, the victim unfortunately succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday March 28 at the Sint Maarten Medical Center.
The investigation is continuing. The author of the fatal shot is still actively sought by the police. _AF
