In memory of the late Claude Tage, a key figure in Saint-Martin football, the Junior Stars club is organizing Saturday May 25 and Sunday May 26 at the Jean-Louis Vanterpool stadium, the 2nd edition of the Memorial Tournament bearing his name.
Fourteen teams (U13 category) responded favorably to the invitation from Junior Stars, the organizing club of the Claude Tage Memorial Tournament. Clubs from Guadeloupe, Sint Maarten, Saint-Barth and of course Saint-Martin will be present throughout the two days of the competition. Among the teams involved, Solidarité Scolaire, Stade Lamentinois (Guadeloupe), AJOE St-Barth (team 1 and 2), Hottspurs, Risc Takers FC, Eagles (Sint Maarten), Juventus de Saint-Martin (title holder), FC Flamingo , Saint-Louis Stars, AS Phoenicks, Junior Stars (team 1 and 2, U11).
In terms of regulations, for group matches, each team will be made up of eight players plus four substitutes who will be able to enter and leave the field at any time during each match lasting two times eight minutes.
Numerous awards will be given out at the end of the tournament: best goalkeeper, best scorer, best player, best hope, fair play prize, not forgetting the trophy presented by Claude Tage's family to the victorious team. _AF
