Football (Champions League semi-finals) Real Madrid / Chelsea, PSG / Manchester City: two matches that should attract crowds on big days in the island's restaurants-bars!

The pressure is mounting among the supporters! A few days before the kickoff of the ½ finals of the Champions League, we offer you an overview of the four teams that will  try to get their ticket for the grand final scheduled for May 29 in Istanbul.

Ask for the program!

The first semi-final will oppose Real Madrid against Chelsea on Tuesday April 27 (match broadcast live on RMC SPORT 1 at 15 p.m. at home). Return May 5 to London.

In the other long-awaited semi-final, PSG will host Manchester City at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday April 28 (match still broadcast live on RMC SPORT 1 at 15 p.m. at home) before going to the Citysens on May 4.

Le PSG motivated more than ever!

What if it was finally the right one for Parisians? Since its acquisition by the Qataris in 2012, PSG has been chasing a European crown. After the final lost last year against Bayern Munich, Paris proved that its presence in the last four was not linked to the weakness of its oppositions last year. Instead of Dortmund, Bergamo and Leipzig, the Neymar band offered themselves the scalps of Barça in the eighth (4-1, 1-1) and Bayern Munich in the quarters (3-2, 0-1). In short, Mbappé and his friends are no longer afraid of anyone!

Pay attention to Manchester City!

Manchester City will only play the second Champions League semi-final in its history, and the first with Guardiola. If City had seemed to run up against a glass ceiling under the leadership of Guardiola since 2016, the club believes in its star at the end of the season where it can sign an incredible quadruplet, never successful in the history of English football (Championship, Cup, League Cup and Champions League).

Chelsea, the surprise guest

Chelsea is the story of a resurrection in 2021. Moribonds this winter, the “Blues” have regained all their defensive stability with the arrival last January of Thomas Tuchel, fired at Christmas by Paris. By taking the reins of the "Blues", the German coach gave them back a defensive stability they lacked to launch them into an impressive streak of 14 games unbeaten which ended in early April. Real have every intention of making Thiago Silva and his family still doubtful!

Le Real Madrid wants to make history again!

In the pantheon of European clubs, Real Madrid has no equal with its 13 Champions League coronations. Zinedine Zidane will seek a fourth final in five C1 appearances on the bench of the “White House”, with the slight disadvantage of receiving in the first leg on April 27.

Heckled because of the bad start to the season, the Frenchman held on and trusted his players to bring his team back to the top of the bill!

See you now at the beginning of next week in the many restaurant-bars of Saint-Martin / Sint Maarten which are preparing to welcome all  supporters of Real, Chelsea, Manchester City and… PSG in a warm atmosphere! _AF
