FOOT AT SCHOOL: The time for rewards has come!

0

As part of the development of football at school and in connection with the national convention signed in May 2014, the French Football Federation (FFF), the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research (MENESR ) and the Sports Union for First Degree Education (USEP) have strengthened their partnership to encourage the development of sports and cultural activities within schools.

The "Foot at School" operation which took place from September 2016 to May 2017 had the following objectives:

- to develop motor and cognitive learning linked to the football activity.

- to develop transversal skills through the common base of knowledge, skills and culture.

This “Football at school” competition launched by MENESR, the FFF and the USEP aimed to reward class projects.

The project was to be broken down into 2 axes:

- Sports project: realization of a football or futsal cycle of at least 6 sessions and participation in a gathering (departmental, constituency, local meeting, etc.).

- Cultural project: realization of an artistic production related to the theme: "Are you READY to play football?"

It involved explaining the following values, Pleasure - Respect - Commitment - Tolerance - Solidarity, through football activity.

The class could engage in this cultural competition by choosing a production format to be produced, either the creation of a so-called “dynamic” production (video, song, etc.) or the creation of a so-called “static” production. (drawing, photo, poster…)

The “Foot à l'Ecole” academic jury was held on May 24th in Saint-Martin to deliberate on the premises of the National Education Service of the Northern Islands.

This jury was made up of 4 students from the Hervé WILLIAMS school, Ms. SAINT-PHOR Gina, academic delegate, Mr. HAPPY Hervé (Saint-Martin / Guadeloupe Football League), Mr. FLEMING Louis (National Education), M MAGNIEN Jean-Michel (USEP Guadeloupe), and Mr. ELICE Jean-Luc (USEP Iles du Nord).

9 schools competed in the so-called Static Production category: 6 from the SAINT-MARTIN- NORTHERN ISLANDS sector, 3 from GUADELOUPE

4 schools in the so-called Dynamic Production category: 3 from the SAINT-MARTIN-ÎLES DU NORD sector, 1 from GUADELOUPE.

It was decided in agreement with the French Football Federation that two winners in each category - Static and Dynamic Production - would be rewarded.

The DYNAMIC Productions winners are:

GUADELOUPE: Jean-Gabriel Le Moule School: 12 Points

NORTH ISLANDS: École Émile LARMONIE (SAINT-MARTIN), the class of CE1-CE2 of Madame Adeline ARNAUD: 17 Points
