The final preparations have been launched before the grand inauguration of the Mardis de Grand-Case which will take place this Tuesday, January 31, formalizing the twentieth anniversary of this key event in Saint-Martin.
The excitement is at its height within the organization, exhibitors and artists who will offer their best performances this Tuesday, January 31 from 18 p.m. The sponsors of this edition will be Moët & Chandon as well as DeltaPetroleum which will present the first big parade. Crowds will gather in the streets of Grand-Case to take part in this event which will be repeated every Tuesday for twelve editions with its share of surprises and sensations. Note that there will be no festivities on February 14, Valentine's Day and a date which represents a significant turnover for restaurateurs, respected by Chantal Vernusse, president of Calypso Event, to whom the we owe the magic and grandiloquence of the Mardis de Grand-Case. In addition to the festive, artisanal and folk side, every Tuesday is eco-friendly. With a real desire to raise public awareness of the preservation of the environment, the organization will constitute an eco-responsible space to inform the public about the major issues related to the protection of the planet which are all the more topical on an island territory. For Chantal Vernusse, “we are slowly launching the movement by gently imposing the cessation of plastic to eventually become a 100% eco-responsible event”. The installation of dry toilets, sorting bins and a carpooling system will also be on the program. Shuttles will also be organized from certain hotels for the movement of groups wishing to live the unforgettable experience of Mardis de Grand-Case. Every Tuesday from 18 p.m. to 23 p.m. from January 31, Grand-Case will come alive with music, lights and a parade, with around a hundred exhibitors to bring life to the most popular craft market on the island of Saint- Martin. _VX
