“Victor Schoelcher” party (July 21): Practical information to remember!

As part of the festivities organized on the occasion of the celebration of the “Victor Schoelcher” Festival on Sunday July 21, 2019, it is prohibited to anchor boats mooring in the bay of Grand-Case from Saturday July 20, 2019 at noon at Monday July 22, 2019 at 8 a.m.

During this period, pleasure boats and other shuttles usually anchoring in the bay of Grand-Case will have to settle temporarily in the bay of Cul-de-Sac. The Port Authorities, the National Nautical Gendarmerie, the Directorate of the Sea, are each responsible for:

-To advise boaters and charter boat managers,

-Ensure the movement of boats,

-To ensure the execution of this Order.

• Bottled drinks prohibited for sale

Also as part of the festivities tending to the celebration of the “Victor Schoelcher” Festival, it is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN to sell drinks in glass bottles on the whole of the Place sheltering the local restaurants known as “lolos” as well as the village festivities, Sunday July 21, 2019 from 06 a.m. to midnight. These provisions apply to all of the Place's restaurateurs as well as to fixed or itinerant businesses carrying out the activity of selling drinks. Any violation noted will be punished in accordance with the law in force.

• parking: From 11h00 to 18h:

Car parking and traffic will be prohibited on the portion of street between the walls of the old primary school of Grand-Case up to the bridge where various traditional games will be organized by the organizing committee. The entire area will be transformed into a pedestrian street.

The other neighboring roads will be kept open to automobile traffic.
