As part of the 15th edition of the Fête de la Nature 2021 and two days after the European Day of the Sea, the National Nature Reserve of Saint-Martin in direct collaboration with EDF Archipel Guadeloupe continues its momentum to take you to discovery of the coast this Saturday, May 22.

From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., a hike from Anse Marcel to Grandes Cayes is organized so that the participants can be the main actors in the protection of the coast and the reconquest of the latter. A hike that will take shape on the Froussards trail and which will also be commented on, morning hikers will therefore emerge even stronger from this physical activity by having learned the useful gestures to preserve the flora and fauna of this protected area.

Bring a mask, sunscreen, cap and a good pair of shoes. Free hike and accessible to children from 10 years old. After the lunch break, the following animation will take place at 14 p.m. in the premises of the Association de Gestion de la Réserve Naturelle Nationale de Saint-Martin (AGRNSM) located at Hope Estate.

On the program: immersion on a coral reef in Saint-Martin with virtual masks. Those present who will comply with the exercise will thus discover the ecosystem of this essential environment, the animal and plant species that compose it, its innumerable capacities and the threats that put it in danger. The gauge being limited to 20 participants with a desire to respect the current sanitary instructions, remember to book in advance to take advantage of this unique initiative and to celebrate nature as it should be._VX
