An accident occurred Sunday afternoon near Grand-Case. A gendarmerie car went off the road after a chase with two individuals riding on a stolen scooter.
Story of the facts
Informed that two individuals are traveling on a stolen scooter, the gendarmes have set up a device to block them on the RN 7 at the level of the schools in Grand Case. When trying to stop a two-wheeler driver, one of the soldiers was injured and "for some unknown reason, the gendarmerie vehicle ended its course in the stream", indicates the gendarmerie.
The operation nevertheless allowed the arrest of an individual and the seizure of two scooters.
"The investigation continues under the direction of the prosecution of Saint-Martin," said the gendarmerie.
