Early in the evening on Sunday July 31, the Sint Maarten Police Force (KPSM) responded to a traffic incident in Cole Bay involving a pedestrian run over by a car.
Around 19pm last Sunday, police were called to an accident where a pedestrian was hit by a white Jeep Wrangler on Welfare Road at the junction with Barringtonia Drive in Cole Bay. When they arrived at the scene, the patrol found that the victim, injured in the head, was in critical condition. First aid was administered by ambulance staff and the 64-year-old man was rushed to hospital. He later died of these injuries. _VX
