Evolution of unemployment between 2011 and 2020 (continued)

Women have always been more likely than men to seek employment, but their share is tending to decline. In 2020 and early 2021, they represented 61% of job seekers while in 2011 and 2012, they represented at least two-thirds.

At the end of March 2021, they are almost 3 to be registered, 000 precisely. A record figure. Over the past decade, the 2 mark has been crossed three times: in the fourth quarter of 985, in the second quarter of 2 and today. In ten years, Pôle Emploi has 920% more women, or 2020.

As the graph shows, with each period of unemployment recovery, women are more affected: their number is increasing faster than that of men.

Today, Pôle Emploi has 1 fewer men than women in category A. They are 100 registered. Contrary to the general trend, their level is not a record level; it was during the first semester of 1 that their number had sharply increased to reach 885. In 2017, they were even less numerous than today to be registered: 2030 and 2020 in the second and third quarters. Even if today the number of men at Pôle Emploi is significantly lower than that of women, it has grown more over the decade: 1%. (soualigapost.com)
