The evening was somewhat turned upside down by the weather, the rain has disrupted the organization's plans causing replacements or delays in performance, but the vagaries of the weather are also part of the charm of Saint-Martin, all the more underlining its ability to adapt. depending on the external conditions. After a month of intensive rehearsals, nine candidates performed during this evening, which had the theme “The Walk of Fame, iconic films”. Each painting presented during the show was related to a film for a total immersion in the world of cinema. Let us also remember the parade in white swimsuits of the candidates also wearing an orange wig as a nod to the character of Leeloo interpreted by Milla Jovovich in the film "The Fifth Element" and the painting paying homage to "Men in Black” and the classic black suit over a white shirt. During the presentation of each contender for the title in cultural dress, while some stood out for their ease of speech, all managed to convey to the public their strength, their independence and their deep desire to represent Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy. at the next Miss France election. The dance paintings whose choreography was signed by Eolia Ada (aka Miss Bee) delighted the assembly which included, among others, Diane Leyre, Miss France 2022, and Naîma Dessout, Miss SXM SBH 2021, as well as the jury made up of Ida Zin Ka Ieu, the president, Yann Lecam, Melissa Lake, Marie-Angèle Aubin, Jacqueline Jno, Marcel-André Desportes and Estelle Sabatier. The vocal performance of singer Thierry Cham was also noticed. After a last passage in evening dress and the deliberation of the jury, the candidates dressed in their most beautiful dress with rhinestones and sequins awaited the proclamation of the results. Henriette Constantinou was elected 4th runner-up, Bedelya Hunt 3rd runner-up and Dana Tordjman 2nd runner-up. The Miss Saint-Martin / Saint-Barthélemy 2022 scarf was played between Chelsea Hodge and Inès Tessier. It was the latter who ultimately won the election.
