The Association ACED (Association Against Exclusion and Delinquency), in partnership with the Natural Reserve of Saint-Martin, takes advantage of the current drought to launch a major cleaning operation in the various ponds of the island, totally dry and overgrown with waste of all kinds.
These debris from Irma or wild deposits are visible and more accessible at this time due to the lowering of the water level. However, the collection remains difficult, the waste being trapped in the bottom of the pond, trapped in the dry ground.
Equipped with their dump truck and pickaxes, ACED agents began their difficult mission by the Airport pond before going then to Guichard pond, then to that of Chevrise.
