On November 10, 2019, 400 participants and 60 partners and local businesses responded to the first edition of the competition, for more than sixteen tonnes of plastic, glass, metal or bulky waste collected on the island ... to all of us from do better for this edition of 2021. The concept is simple: form a team, whether it is made up of family, friends, colleagues, neighbors or hobby companions, the best the best, and that's for a good cause. Initiated by MyStraw Company and Dauphin Telecom with the aim of making the population aware of the importance and urgency of treating waste and reducing it, this competition takes place one morning, from 8 a.m. to noon, on November 14. Each enthusiastic team, open to everyone, whether small or large, as long as it does not exceed the number of six people, must collect as much garbage as possible during the allotted time and bring everything back to the neighborhood drop-off point. selected. All districts are represented and everyone can win. Different prizes will await the most successful, even if the main motivation of the participants is to restore Saint-Martin to its own splendor and the joy of sharing a moment devoid of personal interest. The call for volunteers and businesses is also launched. Verde-SXM, partner of this second edition, will have enabled the latter to be produced, without counting on the support of the Collectivité of Saint-Martin and the Prefecture.
