After two years of waiting, the Métimer association is finally launching the first edition of its Maritime Careers Forum, a wonderful opportunity to discover careers related to boating.

This first edition of the Sea Trades Forum organized by Métimer in partnership with the Collectivity of Saint-Martin, which finances 50% of the event to the tune of €10.000, the Federation of Nautical Industries and the inter-industrial skills operator Opco2i s is intended not only for the general public but also for entrepreneurs looking for training and financing, job seekers and educational establishments whose students will find professional advice and guidance. The Maritime Professions Forum will take place in the Galisbay car park this Thursday, November 10 from 9 a.m. to 17 p.m. In a territory like that of Saint-Martin, trades related to the nautical sector are legion and this forum will highlight them all. A route will be offered to the public through several spaces dedicated to reception, training, sea trades strictly speaking with information stands held, for example, by the Navy, Customs, the Nature Reserve, not to mention the local craftsmen, fishermen, specialists in nautical activities or seagoing personnel. The institutional and financing space will be occupied by the Department of the Sea, the Regional Academic Delegation for Youth, Engagement and Sports (DRAJES), the Departments of the Economy, Employment , work and solidarity (DEETS), the Collectivity, Pôle Emploi, CCISM, Initiative Saint-Martin Active, ADIE, EPSM or even FTPE. Catering and security will be managed by students from the Daniella Jeffry vocational high school, whose nautical maintenance section will also be represented. Studies, training, employment, financing, everything has been thought out intelligently by Métimer so that everyone is or finds themselves at the Forum des métiers de la mer which will be talked about even more thanks to the wifi hot spot offered by Dauphin Telecom. In order for the event to be accessible to as many people as possible, the association is looking for a sponsor to bring students from the Quartier d'Orléans college who wish to take charge of transport so that these young people can benefit from the Opportunity to learn about nautical professions and to follow the conferences that will be offered by the vocational high school. _VX
