Employment-Training: Constructys grants 5M € to train 500 employees in Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin

Engaged with the construction companies of Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy hit by Hurricane Irma, Constructys decided during its board meeting on December 6, to reserve for 2018 funding of 5 million euros for training of employees and job seekers.

Constructys plans to train nearly 500 employees for Saint-Martin and Saint-Barth over the 2017-2018 period. To do this, it sets up various training courses (basic knowledge, regulatory training, technical business training) whose objective is to encourage a rise in skills of employees and allow companies to be more efficient when the economy local will regain stability.

Due to the destruction of the technical workshops of the training centers after the passage of Irma, Constructys is also participating in the creation of an educational village with other OPCAs and makes available educational tools to include e-learning in the courses thus offering training partly at a distance.

At the same time, the company is engaging with Pôle emploi in a POE (operational preparation for employment) approach for transversal training actions intended for job seekers in Saint-Martin and to allow their rapid integration in the next semester. .

Given the lack of organizations with materials to provide training in construction, some actions will take place in Guadeloupe with the support of Ladom and the Second Chance School, partners of Constructys.
