Legislative elections: Frantz Gumbs new deputy for St Martin/St Barth

Frantz Gumbs was elected deputy after the second round of the legislative elections which took place on Saturday June 18 in Saint-Martin and Saint-Barth. He is the third deputy since the transition to the community of the two islands.

Arrived at the head of the first round with 985 votes in advance, he widened the gap on Saturday. He obtained 67,21% of the votes cast, or 3 votes, according to the provisional results communicated by the prefecture on Saturday evening. The results must still be checked today Monday by the commission of census of the votes.

Frantz Gumbs is ahead of Daniel Gibbs by 2008 votes. This obtained 32,79% of the votes cast, i.e. 1913 votes.

Frantz Gumbs won 3461 votes in Saint-Martin (70,70%) and 460 in Saint-Barth (48,99%). Daniel Gibbs obtained 1434 (29,30%) and 479 votes (51,01%) respectively.
