European elections 2019: Reminder of the rules for the validity of ballots downloaded from the internet

0

Next Saturday, May 25, the European elections will take place. Voters will be able to vote in the 5 polling stations installed in Saint-Barthélemy and in the 19 offices present in Saint-Martin.

The prefecture received ballots from 12 of the 34 lists officially present in the elections.

The ballot papers of the 22 other lists can be downloaded from the websites of the political parties concerned. It is therefore up to the voter to download and print the ballot from the list he chooses.

The validity rules for ballots downloaded from the internet and printed by the voter:

In all cases, printed ballot papers of a different model from those produced by the candidates will be declared void and will not count towards the result of the count. (Article R; 66-2, 5 ° of the electoral code).

To be compliant, the ballot downloaded and printed by the elector must:

• have content identical to the model available to the president of the polling station; • have a format and grammage which must not be manifestly different from the model presented on the political party's site;

• be printed on white paper;

• be 210x297mm format;

• have the same font as that of the model present on the website of the political party;

• be printed on both sides if this is the case of the model available on the political party's website.

To be in good standing, the voter must go to the office indicated on his voter card and imperatively provided with a valid identity document and his new voter card if he has one.

The polling stations will be open from 8 a.m. to 18 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2019.
