The official results of the first round of the territorial elections were communicated yesterday by the prefecture. The vote counting commission indicates that the participation rate is 42,73%. Team Gibbs 2017 thus largely won this first round with 49,04% of the votes cast (4077 votes). Louis Mussington (MJP) is in second position with 13,72% (1141 votes), followed by Alain Richardson (MVP) with 12,34% (1026 votes). Jules Charville (Generation Hope) obtains 8,71% (724 votes). Outgoing president Aline Hanson (Continuons pour Saint-Martin) achieves 6,44% (536 votes), Julien Gumbs (Mocsam) 5,02% (418 votes), Jeanne Vanterpool-Rogers (New Direction) 2,58% (215 voice) and Horace Whit (Soualiga Movement) 2,10% (175 votes).
