Sint Maarten elections: development of State services

The elections in Sint Maarten will take place in less than 3 weeks. In the campaign, Leona Marlin Romeo of the United People's Party (UP Party) spoke to CCISM last week about several points on his party's program. Regarding the electoral campaign of a foreign country, the prefecture wanted to recall that French regulations must be “strictly applied and respected” in our territory. “Posting outside diplomatic and consular premises is prohibited. Public elections are also prohibited, the distribution of leaflets and professions of faith as well as publicity in public places and any paid campaign in the media ”specify the state services through the press. _EH

    Here is a stupid regulation which for the metropolitan would have no effect but for the Saint Martinois a lot. This island is divided in two but the population from one side to the other are closely linked by family and blood ties. Here is a regulation which further divides the population on both sides.
