EDUCATION: Private schools have come together

0

In the public, the directors of establishments meet regularly with the representatives of the National Education but those of the private sector are rarely invited and work in a more isolated manner. This is why Maylis, the director of the Mandarine maternal private school, wanted to invite private schools to come together. Twelve establishments welcoming children from kindergarten to high school joined the approach and this is how the collective of private schools was born last April.

Several meetings were thus organized with the primary aim of discussing health measures. The collective also requested an appointment in the prefecture. The directors were received by the prefect, the vice-rector and the ARS to whom they presented the protocols implemented in their establishments, which protocols were approved.

But the objective of the creation of this collective is above all to allow private schools to "make their voices heard" with the authorities. In fact, the directors regret not being taken further into consideration. “However, we depend on the National Education which organizes controls of our establishments and our personnel. We must indeed comply with specifications, health and reception standards, recruitment as well as in the public, ”underlines a director.

Today, nearly 1 pupils are schooled in private establishments, ie 300% of the total enrollment in first and second degrees in the French part. (soualigapost.com)
