The president of the COM made a trip to Guadeloupe last week where he first met with the new director general of the Guadeloupe Regional Health Agency (ARS), Laurent Legendart.

Better care management, through the creation of a medico-social center and a nursing school, was the subject of promising discussions.

The president then went to the Guadeloupe University Hospital, where he met the interim director Cédric Zolezzi and the general secretary of the establishment, Chantal Lerus.

The creation of an IFSI in Saint-Martin, a nursing training institute, is a key project of the mandate. Possible avenues and partnerships were discussed during this exchange.

The President met with Mr. Morin, Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of the Antilles-Guyana to discuss the possibilities of post-baccalaureate training, as part of the distance university campus project.

Louis Mussington then visited a training center specializing in the development of manual skills and language learning. The idea being to program training courses promoting our local know-how, teaching product processing techniques (such as leather goods), in the territory of Saint-Martin.
