Messages pasted to denounce violence against women

After Toulouse, Nantes, Nîmes, Strasbourg, Rouen, Lyon, Dijon, Lille, etc., the “Feminist Collages” movement is developing in Saint-Martin. For several days, messages have been stuck everywhere, partly in France, denouncing the various attacks against women. "To love is not to kill, Rape fed up, My dress is not a yes ..." we can read here and there.

This movement was born in August 2019 in Paris at the initiative of Marguerite Stern, a radical feminist former member of Femen. It consists in denouncing these attacks and thus raising awareness among the general public.

Saint-Martin is also affected by this violence. Increasingly, battered women express themselves, dare to denounce their spouse or companion by filing a complaint with the gendarmerie. In most cases, they are supported by the Trait d'Union victim assistance association.

The perpetrators of this violence against women are prosecuted and sentenced. They are more and more numerous to appear not because they are more and more numerous to be violent but because their companion are more and more numerous to denounce them.

Before the court are not called only men implicated by their spouses; there are also men who sexually abuse young girls.

Examined behind closed doors at the request of the victims, these cases receive little publicity. They are more sensitive. Adolescent girls are in most cases the daughters of the perpetrators' companions.

The different messages pasted here and there in Saint-Martin invite the public to join the movement on Instagram (@Collages_feministes_sxm). (soualigapost.com)
