Air travel: The quarantine remains mandatory, but can be done at home

0

The health emergency law now allows passengers arriving in Guadeloupe to carry out their strict fortnight at their home. Dedicated places are still available.

The health emergency law has just been promulgated. But to take into account the reserved opinion that the Council of State has just issued on quarantine, the provisions of the fortnight have been revised. Its principle is maintained by the texts. On the other hand, the location of this fortnight is left to the choice of the arriving passenger, who can do it either at home or in a dedicated accommodation center.
In a press release, the prefecture said that "the fortnight in dedicated accommodation remains highly recommended for passengers whose residence conditions in Guadeloupe present a health risk for loved ones, especially when they are fragile. It is also encouraged for people whose home presents health difficulties (lack of water or private room, collective toilets, etc.). "In the latter case, the prefect" may recommend hotel accommodation rather than domicile, due to the particular risks for the incoming passenger, his entourage and the general population ".
Anyone arriving who decides to carry out their fortnight at home undertakes to comply strictly with it and to respond to calls from local authorities, including the Health Agency, which will issue a prescription in order to carry out a PCR test within 24 hours. following his arrival, as well as a new test eight days later. Note that people currently in their fortnight in a dedicated accommodation center have been offered either to stay there or to return to their home, in compliance with the obligations laid down.

130 seats in transatlantic flights

The prefect also issued an order limiting the number of passengers to 130 in transatlantic aircraft. All other flights to Pointe-à-Pitre - regional flights in particular, coming from Cayenne and Martinique - will be subject to prior authorization, with regard to hospitality and health monitoring issues.
The prefect recalls that "air travel remains subject to an imperative personal and family reason, a health reason arising from the emergency or a professional reason which cannot be deferred".
To take a flight to or from Guadeloupe, travelers must complete a sworn statement attesting to this compelling reason and the fact that they do not have symptoms of Covid-19 infection. Failure to present this document or refusal to submit to a temperature control may result in non-boarding.

For residents of Saint-Martin from Paris, they must also complete a form issued by the ARS (declaration on honor) upon their arrival at Grand-Case Airport, specifying their address and telephone number . Each arriving passenger must carry out the strict fortnight at their home.
