The President of the Republic François Hollande had promised more mobile gendarmes on the territory, during his visit to Saint-Martin. On July 31, 15 new soldiers from Polynesia will arrive on the island for a period of three months. This reinforcement of the gendarmerie, to fight against delinquency, is planned for two years.
