Five young dancers from the Rhythm & Groove school flew to Paris at the beginning of July where they took an advanced course in the Graham technique.
"I loved this course which allowed me to discover Paris and dance styles but also to improve myself", confides Jade, 14 years old. “It was a very intensive course but we had a lot of fun. We had trained a little in Saint-Martin so as not to lose the thread once there. I am very proud to have received my certificate”.
Same observation for Eddysabelle, 15, who was able to learn “new ballet or barre steps on the ground”. The young girl who was on her first trip to France “took the time to discover France. I am very happy to have visited a new place than Saint-Martin. I come home with a big smile.
"I was able to work on my posture and my body", analyzes Annaelle, 11 years old. "I want to say to all those who hesitate: everyone can dance whether it's contemporary or modern. Do not ask questions but go for it! ".
These three young dancers were accompanied by Jenascia, 15, and Meneyane, 9, and especially their coach, Deyon Bovell, who said he was very proud of his protégés. _pc
