Despite the bad weather at the end of last week, 49 experienced or beginner cyclists took part in the "SXM Move Road Race 2" organized by the Tri-Sport Association and the Sint Maarten Cycling Federation.
In terms of results, we note the victory in the Elite category of the resident of the Sports Association of Marigot, Noël Kianny who "swallowed" the 50 km in 1 hour, 23 minutes and 31 seconds.
For women, special mention to Caroline Deplanque (SXM Tri) winner of the event ahead of Susy Piscione and Annee Blaum, both residents of TS Tigers.
A nod also to the youngster from AS Marigot, Dyclai Grell, winner in the 14-16 age group with a great time of 1 hour, 23 minutes and 38 seconds! Did you say champion seed?
The organizers would like to thank all the volunteers who worked to ensure the smooth running of the event, not to mention the beginners and experienced runners!
The next meeting is set for Sunday November 1 for the 20 km race. Hopefully the sun will be shining all weekend! _AF
