CULTURE: When art becomes a tool for social reflection

1

On November 30, the Ö and Co Company, ALEFPA-le Manteau and CAF offered an exceptional event: the Elles et Moi conference by E.sy Kennenga.

This innovative mix of concert and conference aimed to raise awareness among the general public on the issue of violence against women, while exploring the dynamics of human relationships through art and culture. E.sy Kennenga addressed universal themes such as fear, love, fatherhood and violence, exploring their repercussions on our relationships.

An introspective journey in three parts

In his first part, he discussed the complexity of male emotions, often repressed, and the need to break the rules imposed by society. The second part addressed relationships with women, highlighting the need to abandon concepts in favor of sincere relationships. Finally, the last part focused on fatherhood and love, essential pillars of living together, with strong messages on the deconstruction of patriarchal patterns. The Martinican artist recalled that peace begins within and in our homes, the "first nation" where mutual respect is forged.  The public, touched by this artistic and introspective approach, welcomed the initiative, proof that art and culture are powerful vectors of awareness and change. _VX
