Since 2019, the Mission Cinéma Caraïbes association has been organizing the “CineVision Sud Film Festival” competition which gives pride of place to budding directors. The 3ème edition will take place from January 14 to 20, 2022 in Guadeloupe.
Competition supported by the Ministry of Overseas Territories, the Guadeloupe Region, the Department of Cultural Affairs of Guadeloupe, and other public and private partners, the CineVision Sud Film Festival presents films from the Antilles-Guyana, -sea, the Greater Caribbean and French-speaking Africa. The main objective is to offer a large audience works presenting subjects rich in history and experiences from the aforementioned countries. A specific section is reserved for young talents, film enthusiasts, through their school film productions. Registrations opened on May 1st and run until November 30th. The competition is open to all, amateurs, professionals, and even schools.
About fifty works for seven distinct categories will be selected. The categories are as follows:
5 feature films (from 1:15 including credits)
10 short fiction films (max 30 min credits included)
10 short documentary films (max 30 min credits included)
10 school short films (fiction or documentary of 5 to 30 minutes max credits included)
5 short films from web-series (max 30 min credits included)
5 animated short films (max 20 min credits included)
5 short films defi2mobilefilm * (* film on mobile phone of maximum 2 min credits included)
