Culture / A Midsummer Night's Dream: the next play on display at the Chapelle Theater

0

The company Les Apatrides will present their new production, Le Songe d'une Nuit d'Été, a play by Shakespeare, from February 1st.

For the record: Theseus, Duke of Athens, is soon to marry the queen of the Amazons. But first, he must decide the fate of Hermia, a young girl who refuses to marry the man her father intended for her. Pressed to choose between obedience and death, Hermia fled with her lover into an enchanted forest populated by fairies and satyrs with magical powers. It is in this same forest that a troupe of amateur actors decides to rehearse a play that they have to perform in honor of Theseus. The ensuing encounters between humans and mythical characters lead the spectators in an incredible series of crossovers as funny as improbable.

Directed by Audrey Duputié and with Rhonda Mansana - Pascal Penquerch - Alexandre Ménard - Laurence Brunet - Kamel Fenzi - Christian Platon - Emmanuelle Mansano - Emilie Kruczynski - Raphaël Dorra - Jérôme Bardin - Béatrice Gravouille - Albina Matuzko - Marie-Pierre Crespo - Erwan Le Normand - Elisabeth Rolland - Cathy Carasso.
