The National Education Services of Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin in partnership with Solidarité Laïque and the support of the Collectivité of Saint-Martin are organizing an inaugural civic ceremony of the new Lady Liberty lantern this Friday, May 24, 2019 at the roundabout - Approval point at 9:30 am.
This event follows an educational work in the first and second degrees on the mastery of the language and literature made from the short story: "Who stole the lamp from Lady Liberty? Written by Andy Armongon.
The program of the ceremony:
• 9 p.m .: A word of welcome by Andy ARMONGON, teacher and project leader
• 9h35: A song by the Hervé Williams Elementary School Choir
• 9h40: The unveiling of the new lantern of the Lady Liberty statue by cycle 3 students
• 9h45: A poem in four languages by students of Concordia vocational high school
• 9h50: A song by the Hervé Williams Elementary School Choir
• 10h00: end of the ceremony
