The Nature Valley Colombier association is organizing, in collaboration with Guavaberry Colombier Tradition, its first Guavaberry Festival at the Socio-cultural Space of Colombier on Sunday, December 2.
It is the season!
Christmas and its festivities are fast approaching. In Saint-Martin, the Guavaberry is at the heart of the holiday season tradition. It is found in baking (with delicious guavaberry pies), in liqueur, in jam, in cocktails and even more.
Guavaberry plants will be sold for all those who wish to perpetuate the tradition of small homemade delicacies but also the culture of guavaberry which is becoming scarce with the years and the less and less favorable weather conditions of the island.
Many come to this festival to discover (and taste) this symbolic plant where it will be on sale in all its forms.
Christmas cheer and spirit will be guaranteed with the accompaniment of the traditional music group The Bottle Neck Blowing Stars. _AV
