Meeting in plenary session Tuesday, April 25, the Territorial Council created 12 advisory commissions, three more than under the old mandate.
Six of them already existed under the old mandate: Economic, tourism and rural affairs; Employment, learning, training and professional integration; Social, medico-social affairs, family and autonomy; Teaching, education and school affairs; Spatial planning, works and transport.
Some have been changed. Daniel Gibbs created a joint committee on taxation and finance whereas before there were two separate committees (taxation + financial and budgetary). Similarly from the former culture, youth and sport commission, three commissions were born: culture and animation; sport ; youth.
Two new commissions have been created: town planning and land affairs + new technologies and audiovisual.
In addition, two ad hoc committees have been created: a working committee on the rules of procedure and one on 50 geometric steps.
Finally, an advisory committee for local public services has been set up. (more details on www.soualigapost.com)
