Covid-19: Who is confined and how?

0

Three types of people are said to be in confinement or isolation in part French. Explanations ...

People returning from a risk zone

First of all, there are those who have returned - when this was still possible - from a risk area (Europe, USA). According to the precautionary principle, they should stay at home for fourteen days, even if they had no symptoms. They are not allowed to go out under any circumstances. They had to fill out a health questionnaire and are monitored by the authorities.

363 residents of the French part are affected by this procedure. It is only after 14 days and if they have no symptoms, that they will be allowed to go out while respecting the rules of movement.

If one of the people presents symptoms, he must call the platform of the ARS or his attending physician who can carry out a video consultation.

Positive people at Covid-19

If a person tests positive but their state of health does not require hospitalization, they should stay at home. It is recommended that she isolate herself in a room in the home and respect the barrier measures in order to limit the risk of contamination of other members of the household.

The person is followed daily by his doctor or by the hospital.

When she is no longer showing symptoms, two tests are done to make sure she is no longer a carrier of the virus. If any of the tests remain positive, she should remain isolated. The test will be performed again until it is negative. To date 6 positive people are confined to their homes. 3 people no longer show symptoms but the authorities are awaiting the results of the tests to declare them cured.

Non sick people

Since Tuesday March 17, travel has been reduced to the strict minimum. Exits from the home are only allowed to go shopping, work or practice an activity within a radius of 1 km around the house for 1 h.

It is recommended not to go to the supermarket with your family.

In Saint-Martin, crossing the border is only possible for professional or health reasons.
