Covid-19 / Positive or case of contact, isolation: the new rules to know

0

Since January 3, 2022, if you are in contact with or positive for Covid-19, the isolation rules have changed. What changes for you and those around you whether or not you have had your vaccination booster.

1/ YOU ARE POSITIVE TO THE VIRUS AND HAVE A COMPLETE VACCINE DIAGRAM

You have received your booster dose, and you are positive for the virus - Delta or Omicron:

> You must isolate yourself for 7 days after the date of symptom onset or your antigen test or PCR

> You can end this quarantine if after 5 days, under two conditions:

1) after carrying out an antigen test or PCR, the latter is negative. (If you are still positive after testing, isolation is maintained at 7 days.)

2) if you have had no more signs of infection for 48 hours, you can resume a normal life, go out, work ...

2/ YOU ARE POSITIVE BUT YOUR VACCINATION IS INCOMPLETE

You have not yet had your vaccination against Covid-19 or are you waiting for your booster dose?

> You isolate yourself for 10 days after the date of the onset of signs or the date of your screening if it is positive

> You can break the isolation on two conditions:

- if after 7 days, after having carried out an antigen test or PCR, the latter turns out to be negative.

- if you have had no more signs of infection for 48 hours, you can resume a normal life, go out, work ...

3/ YOU ARE CONTACT CASE AND HAVE A COMPLETE VACCINE DIAGRAM

> It is no longer necessary to isolate yourself. You of course maintain the barrier gestures, the ventilation of your home, the wearing of the mask indoors and outdoors. For those who work, telework is possible

> You do an antigen screening test or PCR immediately then self-tests carried out 2 and 4 days after your last contact with the person positive for Covid-19. If you are positive, you repeat an antigen test or PCR and isolation becomes mandatory for 10 days.

To know: self-tests for vaccinated people and contact cases (as well as children under 12) are covered by the Health Insurance and free in pharmacies on presentation of the negative result of the immediate test as well as a sworn certificate justifying your state of contact.

4/ YOU ARE CONTACT CASE AND YOUR DIAGRAM IS NOT COMPLETE

> You isolate for 7 days

> On the 7th day you take a screening test (PCR or antigen) to verify that you are no longer positive. The isolation can then end.

If you are positive, isolation is maintained.
