Covid-19: Vaccination is accelerating in Saint-Martin

During his speech on July 12, the President of the Republic announced the vaccination obligation for health professionals.

This concerns nursing and non-nursing professionals in hospitals, clinics, retirement homes, establishments for people with disabilities, professionals or volunteers who work in contact with the elderly or frail, including at home:

- all health professionals, including administrative (health establishments, EHPAD, EMS handicap, structures attached to health establishments

- home helpers accompanying frail elderly (beneficiaries of the APA) and disabled (beneficiaries of the PCH, whether they work as employees of home services, or directly employed by a private employer,

- medical transporters

- liberal health professionals

- occupational health services

- firefighters (professionals and volunteers)

Between the enactment of the law and September 15, these professionals will be subject to regular testing obligations.

For people vaccinated from January-February, from the start of the school year, a recall campaign will be set up in order to be able to benefit from a new injection according to the same system and under the same conditions as the first one (s).

As of July 13, 8 people have received their first injection and 957 people their second dose (vaccination having started on January 6).

26.29% of the population of Saint-Martin has received at least one dose of vaccine since the campaign was launched last January. It should be noted that according to the old calculation criteria (population aged over 18), the vaccination coverage rate is 32.94%.
